Community Guidelines

Picmonic has four simple rules that we think are important for our students while they use our site (and in life in general!): 1. Treat everyone with respect. Picmonic believes strongly in this! While using Picmonic, you must conduct yourself in a manner that will bring respect to your institution, yourself, and your peers. This also means you shouldn’t contribute anything derogatory, antagonizing, illegal, or with malicious intent to disrupt the learning experiences of other Picmonics users. Finally, treat other content creators with respect and do not introduce any copy written material into the Picmonic Community.   2. Maintain a positive user experience. We think it’s everyone’s duty to help with this as much as possible.
  • If you see an error with one of our Picmonics, please report it by selecting the icon within the Player.
  • If you see an error with any user-created content, please rate appropriately by selecting the icon within the Player and list the error in the open-ended feedback section.
  • If you see any harmful written or graphic material within user-created content, please click the icon, within the rating section. You will then be able to denote exactly what you found.
  • Have an idea that might help better the general user experience? See a member abusing our system or the nature of our forum? Please let us know by emailing feedback@picmonic.com.
  • Last but not least, don’t plagiarize others’ works. We’re a community of creative sharers, not thieves!
3. Don’t be needlessly profane. Our content can sometimes push the line when it comes to edgy material. Science says that the wilder a story or image, the better chance it will stick in your head and be ready for rapid recall come test time. But there’s a fine line! If you use images or stories that people might find offensive on a personal level, keep them to yourself and mark them as “Private”. If you use images or stories that are only appropriate for mature audiences, please select the “Mature” option in the Settings for your creation. While there are systems in place to help filter any needlessly offensive content from the community, we rely on our students to have discretion here.   4. No spam! Picmonic welcomes the sharing of resources that you feel might benefit other students, but this isn’t a place to market or sell to others. Sharing is great, but try to keep the resources being shared relevant and open to use by everyone. Do not solicit or spam our Community forums.   Picmonic reserves the right to remove anything violating the above guidelines.   Lastly, please remember that anything you create within Picmonic is subject to the Content Creation License Agreement.
