Week Two Picmonic Roadtrip in Review

WEEK two certainly flew by!

We were able to spend the weekend in Chicago and get some sleep! Chicago is an amazing city. We toured downtown, checked out “the Bean”, ate at Portillo’s and became White Sox fans!

Adeel and I also discovered Toll Roads. Being from Arizona, we pretty much ONLY use credit cards, meaning we never have cash on us, so the $20 that Adeel had in his pocket was QUICKLY eaten up by the Tolls in Chicago. Also, there are certain areas that you HAVE to have exact change?!

Monday we spent the day meeting with an administrator at Loyola University of Chicago, and then we headed up north to visit our friend Lynn and her fellow students at Rosalind Franklin University.

After our meeting Adeel and I got to try 3 different Chicago style pizzas! Somebody looks hungry!

We visited Midwestern University and University of Illinois at Chicago! Huge thank you to Andrzej from Midwestern University and Nathaniel from University of Illinois at Chicago.

Up before the rooster crows and headed to Indianapolis to meet with Edwin, Parth and the students at University of Indiana! As soon as we finished presenting we hopped in the car and drove to Ohio State University.

Our advocate Kara introduced us to her fellow classmate Paul. After the presentation Paul invited us to join the fellow med students in a night out. We played trivia, sang karaoke, and had a blast meeting everyone into the wee hours of the morning! The Buckeyes definitely showed us a great time!

We packed our bags and headed northeast to visit Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Adeel presented to over 100 LECOM SOMA students! Thanks to Allen, it was an awesome event.

We took a second to dip our feet in Lake Erie after the presentation and hit to road to make it to Detroit!

We arrived in Detroit and visited Wayne State before Adeel and I parted ways for the holiday weekend! 3 days of rest and relaxation was much needed. I spent the weekend in Ithaca and Adeel in Los Angeles. We can’t stop traveling!!!
