Here\u2019s a head\u2019s up- they\u2019re faking it. They\u2019re as scared as you are. Try to relax and remember there\u2019s always going to be a learning curve for a new position, yes even in clinicals. <\/span>Especially<\/span><\/i> clinicals.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ask the Question You\u2019re Afraid to Ask<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Asking questions on the first day can be difficult, but don\u2019t be afraid. It shows you\u2019re interested in being the best nurse you can be and enthusiasm never goes unnoticed. It also helps to keep in mind that the more questions you ask, the safer your patient will be.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

…But Also Know When Not to Ask a Question<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Use your best judgment to determine when you shouldn\u2019t ask a question. If it\u2019s something you think you should have known before you started a clinical round, look up the answer yourself.
