Picmonic is named a semi-finalist in the Arizona Innovation Challenge!
Picmonic is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as one of 25 semi-finalists in the Fall 2012 Arizona Innovation Challenge (AIC). The company was selected from more than 200 applicants to move forward in the competition, eligible for a grant award of up to $250,000. The decision was made by a panel of expert judges, assessing innovative startups and early stage companies in the fields of technology, renewable energy, bio and life sciences, information technology, aerospace and defense, and advanced manufacturing.
The Challenge is sponsored by the Arizona Commerce Authority. “Our state is rich with gifted entrepreneurs who often lack the capital to bring their product to market,” remarked President and CEO of the ACA, Sandra Watson, on the promise of innovation in Arizona. Picmonic is honored to be considered among companies that show promise in the fields of innovation and technology.
The application process will continue throughout December as companies are selected to move into the finalist round and present to the AIC judges. As a semi-finalist, Picmonic has been invited to participate in Venture Ready, a mentorship program organized by the ACA’s that fosters connections with experienced CEOs and serial entrepreneurs to further refine business plans and drive individual success. This is an exciting time for Picmonic, and we are grateful for the opportunity.
